Ramp Armor® D-LUX is resistant to the effects of weather and is able to withstand high usage wear and tear delivered by skateboarding and BMX. Ramp Armor is shipped from the midwest and has very low freight quotes to the midwest and east coast.

Cons: The orangish tan color looks really nice and is the most popular but it is an outer layer that covers the core’s brown color. If a bike peg were to chip the top layer, the brown might show through. This is not a big concern but something to be aware of.

Ramp Surface Samples
This sample packet is included, free of charge when you buy a traceable ramp template plan. The packet is helpful in choosing colors as well as getting a feel of the different ramp surfaces. You will clearly see and feel that these surfaces are much different than masonite. You will also realize that there is not a similar surface available at your local lumber store. Feel free to perform tests on the surfaces - countersink them, saw them, submerge them in water, beat them with a hammer, - whatever.
The information sheet is also very helpful with shipping locations, cost and pros and cons of each surface.

High quality countersinks and bits are a necessity when installing many sheets of the dense ramp surfacing in order to build a long lasting ramp. If your ramp surfacing arrives damaged with large tears in the packaging and broken pieces, immediately take inventory of the damaged pieces and have the delivery driver sign off on the slip that a certain number of pieces were damaged. If you have a digital camera, take several photographs of the damage. Call Whitefish Skate Ramp and we will help begin the replacement process. The shipment often passes between several different carrier companies before arriving to you. This can make the blame game a difficult and long process so if the sheets can be flipped over and used, sometimes that’s the best solution. After a damage claim is filed, most trucking companies will want to pick up the damaged sheets as salvage, keep the pallet so the shipping company can pick up the salvaged pieces easier. This will help speed up the claim process.
